Styled Easter Table

Easter is a special time to share amongst family and friends. I wanted to style a table that was easter inspired, but a setting that could be translated to any event...maybe just minus the bunnies!

I wanted a warm cosy feel as Easter here in Australia is in Autumn. We are just moving out of summer and the leaves are changing along with the cooler temperature.

There is lots of candle light that was kindly supplied by Candle lit and co to bring warmth and lots of treats to be shared.

A table setting to be enjoyed by all.

Photography was done by my dear friend and photographer Mandy from Mandy Rodrigues Photography

I kind of have an obsession with suspending things, and try to do this all the time, no matter the challenge as I really believe this brings everything together. After discussing concepts, Caz had seen something I pinned on Pinterest and got her thinking of chicken wire bowls, which in turn had me thinking of the wire eggs I designed and made to hold candles and blooms. Agh, creativity aligned!

The ever lovely Lucie from Lulu Bird supplied the blooms where I weaved amongst the branches she supplied. I just love the cabbage flowers as they remind me of a field of cabbages and bunnies hopping around!! Magnolia leaves also made a feature, my favourite foliage, tied in beautifully with the wooden table and amber candles.

A fairly brief description of what I was after was discussed with Caz was given to her and she deliver with perfect easter treats of a ombre pistachio and oreo cake with white chocolate shards and my favourite...pieces of toffee with hits of salty pistachio. THE BEST.

The plates were adorned with white chocolate easter eggs that came apart to reveal more oreos and pistachio. Just divine, but not to stop there...little chocolate squares with patterns on them and more toffee shards!!

My place cards were sprayed in metallic gold and the names were handwritten for that personal touch.

Gorgeous fake fur cushion covers decorated to chairs to keep bums warm.
Cute little bunny shaped cookies were also made by Nectar and Stone.

Even though the concept and styling was executed by me, it would not be this great without some of the gorgeous products from Bed Bath n' Table    (ceramic bunnies, green bowls and compotes, green cake stand, wooden candle domes, silver votives and amber candles)

Thanks for being so lovely to work with! All other props from Paper and Style Co.
Well I am a couple of days away from signing off and spending a week on the central coast with the family. Which means no internet....which means no Instagram and no Pinterest!!!

Will do me the world of good right!!?? Hope to return refreshed and ready to start working on lots of new ideas floating around in my head.

Whatever you all get up to my friends, enjoy family time and relax tune off and...

Happy Easter!!
